MBA Enlistment Committee Needs Your Help

The Associational Enlistment Committee is at work filling the positions vacant for 2018-2020. If you feel led to serve in any of the open positions, or if you could recommend someone to serve, it would be of great help to this Committee and the Association.

Please pray and let us know by May 31, 2017 of any suggestions that you might have. The desire is to involve as many people from the Association as possible. It would be best to have all of the active churches represented in some way in the Association. The MBA Committees’ job descriptions are located here.

Pray for the Enlistment Committee as they meet, make contacts, and accomplish the task. There is a lot to do and these committees are so vital to the success of the Mobile Baptist Association, and to the Kingdom of God.

Impact Mobile Associational Missions Offering Emphasis and Week of Prayer May 21-28, 2017

Cooperative missions is an important Southern Baptist distinctive that is often not understood in our pews. Please invite one of the MBA staff to set up a display in your church, or to speak anytime during the year.

The Impact Mobile offering provides an opportunity for churches that may not have financially supported cooperative missions in their Jerusalem as much as they would have liked. It also assists those churches who use regular special offerings as their primary means to raise missions support. We are grateful for the churches that provide a portion of their missions tithe through the budget, and understand those churches may choose not to promote this offering. This is an “above the tithe” missions offering to assist the ministries and emphases of the MBA to make an eternal difference in Mobile County. Your sacrificial missions tithes allow us to provide MBA sponsored trainings and consultations to dozens of pastors, staff and members about every aspect of growing, maintaining and managing a church. Please consider participating in the “Impact Mobile Associational Missions Offering.”

Evangelistic Party Trailer (EPT) Training May 11, 2017

There will be an Evangelistic Party Trailer (EPT) training Thursday May 11, 5:30 p.m. at Bayou Sara Baptist Church (12, Bayou Sara Avenue, Saraland). The training will take place Rain or shine. A light meal will be provided. Please RSVP to be sure enough food is available. As you recall training is required to help us be the best stewards possible of this marvelous resource. Bro. Thomas Wright will lead the training which includes practical lessons how to conduct an effective evangelistic event and how to set up and take down the contents of the trailer. #PrayerWalkMobile October 6, 2016 - October 5, 2017

Yes, we want to help pray for the people on every street in Mobile County!

HOW DO I GET INVOLVED?

• The first step is to decide to participate. There is registration for individuals and churches below.

• Second, decide who will lead for your congregation. A member of the prayer committee, evangelism committee, Sunday School or Student ministry are possible leaders and participants.

• Third, decide which areas you want to prayer walk/drive between now and October 2017. Teams of two or three begin nearest the church and work outward. Some members/teams will prayer walk their neighborhoods and neighborhoods around the church many times. Participants who want to help prayer walk other parts of the County can come back to this web site to see which Street Atlas pages still need to be chosen.

• Please register below to let us know your church will participate, the contact person and the pages of the Keith Maps 2016 Street Atlas you choose. It is great that the people on some streets will be prayed for many times.
