Advance Weekend for Youth February 17-19, 2017
|
Advance weekend is a community event designed to apply the significance of the gospel to students for all of life. Over the course of the weekend, students worship in a large group gathering, spend time in small groups, serve on mission together, and more. Attached is an overview with more details. This year, Advance is February 17-19. The theme is the advance of the gospel, specifically the advance of the gospel in our city (or cities). The theme verse is 1 Peter 4:8, "Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.” During the main sessions, we will look at the idea of the gospel in us personally (Friday PM), the gospel in community (Saturday AM), and the gospel to the nations (or city) (Saturday PM). For the small group times we will be in the book of 1 Peter. The schedule is flexible according to how much or little each church can participate. We are charging $35/student, to be paid to each local church. The cost for each church will be $25/student (to cover speaker, band, t-shirts, meal, etc), paid to Redemption Church. Therefore, each church is holding on to $10/student to cover their own costs. Nathan Schneider Student Pastor Redemption Church 1251 Industrial Parkway Saraland, AL 36571 (251) 445-5438
