Every MBA church member is welcome. Every senior pastor is a member of the Executive Committee. Join us to help communicate why churches support Associational Missions.

***Our Executive Committee has overall responsibility for the directions, strategy, and processes of the MBA. It is composed of the general officers of the Association, the Executive Officer of each of the several Associational programs, the Chair of each standing committee, the pastors of the churches, and one lay member of each church in the Association having a membership of up to and including 1,000, and one additional member for each additional 1,000 members or fraction thereof, providing that no church shall have more than a total of four members.

Church Security Team Training January 17, 2017

Church Security Team Training

This event is for churches wrestling with whether or not to have security teams and whether or not to arm them. This training offers some basic questions to consider. Topics include: most likely security issues, policies, training, and recovery. State missionary Mark Wakefield will lead this training.

This conference is free, but pre-registration is needed. To pre-register, click here or contact the MBA office, no later than Thursday, January 12.

Please note: if not enough participants are pre-registered, the event is subject to cancellation.

This seminar is a general overview of what is entailed in the work of ministry support personnel. The two-day seminar consists of 12 hours of study and activities. A certificate of completion is presented to each participant. The seminar covers office and technical skills, communication skills and people skills.

This basic training will answer such questions as:

¨ Is this a job or a calling?

¨ What do we believe and why?

¨ Am I qualified?

¨ Am I a leader or do I simply manage work?

¨ What office skills are required?

¨ How do I share the Good News through my support ministry?

¨ How do I stay “plugged in” and vibrant in this ministry?

Alabama Baptist Religious Educators Association (ABREA) January 26-27, 2017

Redemption Church (North Mobile Campus) will host ABREA (Alabama Baptist Religious Educators Association) on January 26 & 27, 2017. The special guest is Jim Putman of Real Life Ministries.
