2020 Seafarer Gifts Distribution

2020 Seafarer Gifts Distribution

2020 Seafarer gift distribution is nearly complete. The chaplains are working diligently to hand out all the gifts collected this year. A big shout-out to all the churches, individuals, and groups that sponsored a ship(s) or seafarer(s) this Christmas. God blessed over 40 ships that contained approximately 880 seafarers with gifts. This could not have happened without God's blessing and your generous giving. Please check out the photo album as we upload pictures every day. ***Our Executive Committee has overall responsibility for the directions, strategy, and processes of the MBA. It is composed of the general officers of the Association, the Executive Officer of each of the several Associational programs, the Chair of each standing committee, the pastors of the churches, and one lay member of each church in the Association having a membership of up to and including 1,000, and one additional member
for each additional 1,000 members or fraction thereof, providing that no church shall have more than a total of four members.

Disaster Relief Training March 4-6, 2021

The MBA will host

Disaster Relief Training here in Mobile County

March 4-6, 2021

Certification options include:

• Chaplaincy

• Chainsaw

• Cleanup/Recovery/Mudout

• Shower/Laundry

• Administration

• Temporary Child Care

New volunteers may choose any option with the requirement of ISBIDR (Involving Southern Baptists in Disaster Relief). Current volunteers may take a refresher course in their current certification, or choose to cross-train in another area in order to be more readily able to serve and deploy.

After this past year, we are painfully aware of how many people are needed to respond to the devastating effects of a hurricane, and we experienced it twice in one year!

Full Time Pastor Needed

Semmes First Baptist Church is currently seeking a full time Lead Pastor/Teacher who is gifted in expository preaching, dedicated to making disciples, and compassionate to his congregation. While certain education and experience credentials are preferred, we are prayerfully open to the Lord’s leading in this matter and desire His will over anything else. Associate Pastor of Youth and Children Needed

Bethel Baptist Church, Citronelle, Alabama is looking for a full-time Associate Pastor of Youth and Children.

The church is looking for someone to actively pastor and lead the youth and children ministries in a way for children, youth, and parents to “Know God and make Him known.”
