The Associational Enlistment Committee is at work filling the positions vacant for 2021-2023. If you feel led to serve in any of the open positions, or if you could recommend someone to serve, it would be of great help to this Committee and the Association.

Please pray and let us know by August 11, 2020 of any suggestions that you might have. The desire is to involve as many people from the Association as possible. It would be best to have all of the active churches represented in some way in the Association. The MBA Committees’ job descriptions are located here.

Pray for the Enlistment Committee as they meet, make contacts, and accomplish the task. There is a lot to do and these committees are so vital to the success of the Mobile Baptist Association, and to the Kingdom of God.

Please find the nomination/recommendation form here.

Annual Church Profiles/Reports (ACPs) are in the mail to church mailing addresses. Please look for your church's ACP and make sure the Church Clerk gets the packet. Completed ACPs are due September 3. This profile of your church is a very important task for your church statistics and leadership personnel to be properly documented for the Association, Alabama Baptist State Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. If you have any questions, please contact the MBA office. Watch this video from Dr. Rick Lance about the importance of the ACP and why we do it. https://vimeo.com/282117957

Drill Leaders,

Realizing that meeting in person at church this year may or may not be a reality, we have developed a resource that I hope will be of help to you. It is called 4 Ways to Teach Bible Drill (Skills) in a Socially Distanced World. (At Home, Being Online, Church, Discovering the Outdoors). We will provide ideas for families to learn God’s Word in their homes, for games and activities online, suggestions for if you can meet in person at church, and for games to play socially distanced outside.

We will have a Zoom Meeting explaining this resource on Tuesday evening August 4 at 6:30 p.m. I hope you can attend the meeting. I have attached the information for the meeting below. You will need to register to receive the link to the call.

David Jennings from FBC Tuscaloosa along with state leaders from North Carolina and Georgia, have assisted in the writing of this resource. It is a resource that can be used this fall in drill. It is our prayer that it will be something that you can use to teach children and families God’s Word!

4 Ways to Teach Bible Skills in a Socially Distanced World (Children)

Tuesday, August 4, 6:30-8 p.m.

Come and learn about four ways you can teach Bible skills in a socially distanced world: at home, online, at church or while discovering the outdoors. Friends and Supporters of Baptist Campus Ministries:

Baptist Campus Ministries exists to worship and serve Jesus Christ as we reach, grow and send collegians for Him.

If you have students in your Church, family members or family friends that are planning to attend any college or university in Mobile in the Fall as freshmen or transfer students please share this image with them and have them connect with BCM through our New Student Portal here:

www.southalabama.edu/BCM

Every student who submits their contact information will receive some information about BCM and local Baptist churches, get connected to some upperclassmen, and be entered for a chance to win one of four $50 gift cards.

Help us reach, grow, and send collegians with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
