On June 20, 2020, the 8th Annual International Ministries’ Benefit Golf Tournament was held at the TimberCreek Golf Club in Daphne. It was a gorgeous summer day, perfect for golfing. The morning began with a super special sunrise, which pointed directly to the glory of our God, Creator of heaven and earth. As if that were not enough, He also gave us relatively moderate temperatures and a slight breeze.

Art Burroughs, Retired Pastor and member of Woodridge Baptist Church, and Dr. James Mercer, Pastor of the Hollinger’s Island Baptist Church, once again tirelessly put together this tournament. After expenses, we received over $8,000, which is a third of International Ministries’ annual budget.

We were blessed to have Luke 4:18 Fellowship become a Gold Sponsor ($1,000). DaySpring Baptist Church was a Silver Sponsor ($500). In addition to the University of Mobile and the Gulf Coast Ministerial Association, the following churches were Hole Sponsors ($100): Citronelle Memorial Baptist Church, Dauphin Way Baptist Church, New Life International Baptist Church (Vietnamese), Theodore First Baptist Church, and Smithtown Baptist Church.

Additionally, we had 77 golfers, many of whom represented teams from eleven of our MBA Churches. Please mark Saturday, June 26, 2021, for participation in our 9th Annual International Ministries Benefit Golf Tournament as a Sponsor and to field at least one team.

This event is not only significant to International Ministries’ outreach, but it helps to build prayer support for the International Ministries:

• International Churches which help us minister to the 74 plus different language groups that live in Mobile

• The International Language School which offers English as a Second Language and Spanish as a Second Language to our community

• Outreach ministry to the 1,600 plus ships that trade through the Port of Mobile every year

Thank you for your support. As you continue to pray, begin now to participate in next year’s tournament.
