Please pray for and communicate with Mobile councilman Levon Manzie to vote yes on April 7 to rezone the International Ministries Center property. His email address is and his phone is 251-786-3293. Please communicate with him and other councilpersons BEFORE TUESDAY April 7. We understand he will vote no due to a small, vocal opposition group.

In addition to emailing or calling Mr. Manzie, please ask any influential members you know who are willing to chat or email him. WE NEED A LOT OF PEOPLE FROM DISTRICT 2.

Reminders: The buyer has met with the surrounding churches and received agreement they would not oppose it. The Buyer has talked to the opposition leader and assured her the wedding venue would not have a liquor license and is respectful of the community, but the opposition is adamant.

We received a unanimous recommendation to rezone from the rezoning commission. The new business would replace a non-tax generating property with a tax-generating property and new jobs.

The buyer already has a catering business in District 2, and is expanding her business. This wedding venue will benefit the entire city as guests come for weddings.

We also need other councilpersons to encourage Mr. Manzie to vote yes.
Thank you for the help. Every delay is hurting the MBA financially and strategically.
