Disaster Relief Need

The increase in storm related events recently has increased our opportunities to deploy teams. It is our desire to serve where He opens the doors, but we must be prepared to go.

The Mobile Baptist Association maintains a Disaster Relief Trailer for use during an event where chainsaw and/or cleanup/recovery/mudout teams are needed. This trailer is in need of repairs and upkeep. Supplies have also dwindled over the years, and we are in the process of restocking. Consequently, funds are needed to help cover these expenses. Please pray about collecting a special offering directed to Disaster Relief at the MBA to help with these needs, in addition to your regular monthly tithe to the Association. We appreciate your response to this need! Please designate DR on your gift sent to the MBA office.

This workshop, presented by ALSBOM, will help answer questions for church treasurers and financial leaders. Topics will include financial controls, payroll, IRS forms, employee or self-employed, taxable wages, FLSA, housing benefits, accountable reimbursement, expenses vs. compensation, retirement planning and more. State missionary, Lee Wright, will lead this workshop.

Cost is $15 per person. Cost goes up to $25 per person if registering within 7 days of the event.

First Baptist Tillman’s Corner is hosting the Bryan Drake Show for students on August 3, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. Bryan is an illusionist and evangelist. His show is great and students love it. All the churches in the association are invited to attend the event. There is no set fee, but donations will be taken at the door.
