The Associational Enlistment Committee is at work filling the positions vacant for 2020-2022. If you feel led to serve in any of the open positions, or if you could recommend someone to serve, it would be of great help to this Committee and the Association.

Please pray and let us know by July 10, 2019 of any suggestions that you might have. The desire is to involve as many people from the Association as possible. It would be best to have all of the active churches represented in some way in the Association. The MBA Committees’ job descriptions are located here.

Pray for the Enlistment Committee as they meet, make contacts, and accomplish the task. There is a lot to do and these committees are so vital to the success of the Mobile Baptist Association, and to the Kingdom of God.

Please find the nomination/recommendation form here.

International Ministries need several Volunteer Port Chaplains who can drive to and from the ships. The chaplains need to lead Bible Studies on the ships at various times. Volunteers must pass a background check for TWIC access to the ships. Please contact Dr. Bobby Morton for more information, via email or 251-661-7111.

ILS students and their families are invited to have lunch with their teachers on July 6, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. A light lunch will be provided, but you should bring food to share. We are excited to see you during the summer, so come to have conversation and a meal.

Go to our Facebook page: MBA – International Language School, ESL to register or contact Kim. Make sure to tell us how many are coming.

Registration for fall semester is on July 6 at 1:00 p.m. After our lunch together, we will have registration and evaluations for the new school year.

The fall semester of ESL classes begins on August 12. Teachers are needed. Training will be offered this summer.

In the fall semester, night ESL classes will be on Monday and Tuesday nights, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Day classes will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Classes will consist of conversation, English instruction, Tea Time, and Reading Club.

The ILS will offer beginning and intermediate Spanish classes on Monday nights in the fall. There is a suggested donation of $50 for the semester. An additional donation of $20 is suggested to cover the costs of materials (book, notebook, and audio). Contact Kim at 251.533.2911 or kwilson@mobilebaptists.org to register.

With the new school year starting  August 12, and registration is open now, the ILS needs individuals or teams to distribute promotional materials in the community.
