Support DR Volunteers from Mobile Deployed to Lee County

The MBA deployed a Shower/Laundry DR team to Lee County. As part of deployment, insurance is provided for each volunteer. Assistance is offered to maintain the Laundry Trailer & provide supplies. Donations given to the DR ministry of the MBA will go directly to these expenses.

***Our Executive Committee has overall responsibility for the directions, strategy, and processes of the MBA. It is composed of the general officers of the Association, the Executive Officer of each of the several Associational programs, the Chair of each standing committee, the pastors of the churches, and one lay member of each church in the Association having a membership of up to and including 1,000, and one additional member for each additional 1,000 members or fraction thereof, providing that no church shall have more than a total of four members.

SUPPORT COLLEGIATE MISSIONS

Join with us to support Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM) collegiate missions with a BBQ Cook-Off between our local Mobile Baptist Pastors, Ministers and Men’s ministry leaders. A Cake Auction will feature some of the best cakes Mobile Baptist Churches have to offer!

The Pastor, Minister, or Men’s Ministry leader with the most votes for their BBQ will receive the Title of "Mobile's Best Baptist BBQ Master 2019." Delicious cakes will be auctioned off to the highest bidder, so come prepared to buy your favorite cake! The Baker of the cake that sells for the highest amount will be declared “Mobile’s Baptist Baking Champion 2019.”

PASTORS, MINISTERS, AND MEN’S MINISTRIES LEADERS- WE NEED YOU!

Will you prepare some BBQ for this event? You can grill, smoke, or BBQ any meat of your choice. Smoke a Boston Butt, grill some burgers or chicken or BBQ some ribs. All we ask is that you prepare enough for 50 small (bite-size) tasting servings. We also need you to invite as many of your church members to come and vote for your BBQ to win! BAKERS- WE NEED YOU!

Will you prepare one of your famous cakes for this event? We know that every church has those great bakers who make their special cakes that everyone loves. Would you share those delicious cakes with us to support collegiate missions? All we ask is that you prepare your famous cake, package it on a disposable plate or pan, and invite as many of your church members to come and bid on your cake! iParenting Conference March 23, 2019

The Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Tillman’s Corner will host an iParenting Conference on Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. There will be a light continental breakfast (doughnuts and juice, etc.) served in the FLC/Gym from 9:15 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. The iParenting Conference will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary with a brief worship time followed by speakers Pastor Matt Day and his wife Amy from Venice, Florida.

The Days have four children of their own and will share guidance on how to raise your kids in the digital age. They will discuss social media, apps, games, and much more in an effort to help parents safeguard their kids in this technology age.

There will also be a magic show presented by Joe McDonald for any kids K5 – 6th grade who come with their parents. In addition, childcare will be available for birth – 4 years old in the Preschool Department.

New Church Start has Immediate Needs

As the new church, One Hope Mobile, gets ready for a launch, they are hopeful some SBC churches in Mobile County will help with some foundational needs.

Immediate needs:

• 100 Chairs

• Sound equipment

Other needs:

• 50" TV

• Locking storage cabinet

• 12 Tables
