Bi-vocational Pastor, Jay Powell, First Baptist Church Bayou George in Florida reports multiple needs. First, they need volunteers to help remove water-damaged items from the church building, including ceiling tiles. There are yard debris that need to be gathered. These tasks will not be dangerous and would be suitable for youth as well as adults. Teams may spend a day or they may sleep in the fellowship hall, although there are no showers available, only restrooms. Food will be provided.
Secondly, they need help with the roof. A building team would be awesome, but the finances to help provide it would be incredible too! A church may provide money directly to the church or through the MBA. Any amount of help and support would be greatly appreciated. The recovery there is going to be a long one, and we can be a testimony to God’s provision for our brothers and sisters in Christ!
Chipola Association in Marianna, Florida has an urgent need for shovels, rakes, bow handsaws, camp stoves, and tarps. They are also accepting the items listed below. Any church wishing to donate these items may deliver them to Shadow Lawn Baptist Church any morning between 8:00 a.m. and noon, before Thursday, November 1.
