Annual Church Profiles/Reports (ACPs) were mailed to church mailing addresses July 27, 2022. Please look for your church's ACP and make sure the Church Clerk gets the packet. Completed ACPs are due September 6. This profile of your church is a very important task for your church statistics and leadership personnel to be properly documented for the Association, Alabama Baptist State Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. If you have any questions, please contact the MBA office. Watch this video from Dr. Rick Lance about the importance of the ACP and why we do it. https://vimeo.com/282117957

In 2022, the Mobile Baptist Association (MBA) is celebrating 50 years of ministry to Seafarers visiting the Port of Mobile. In 1972, the MBA adopted the International Seamen's Ministry in cooperation with the Alabama State Board of Missions and the then Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Thank you for your continued support through praying, giving, and volunteering. This dynamic ministry does not exist without YOU!

DONATE USED LITERATURE
The Seafarers Ministry is in need of used, adult Sunday School quarterlies and devotional materials (English) to give to each ship that comes into the Port of Mobile. If your church could drop the materials by the MBA Office at your convenience, it would be greatly appreciated. We may be able to use some older materials…bring them in and we will use what we can and dispose of the ones we cannot use.

Church Collegiate Workers:
Baptist Campus Ministries exists as a partnership between the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions and the Mobile Baptist Association. Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM) serves as the ministry extension of the Mobile Baptist Association’s Churches to the college campuses in Mobile County. We see the college students in Mobile County as our mission field. We exist to reach, develop and deploy collegians on these campuses, to help our Churches reach collegians from our Campuses, and to intimately connect collegians with church life within our Associational Churches. We hope to see each Mobile Baptist Association Church involved in Collegiate Ministry to the students in their congregation and in their community.
EACH Mobile Baptist Association Church can be involved in college ministry!
We are excited about what God is going to do on our campuses in Mobile County this fall. It finally feels as if things are getting back to normal after a couple of years affected by a pandemic. BCM is excited that incoming students are excited, looking for ways to plug in to campus life and are looking forward to an active school year. We are praying for spiritual openness in the lives of those who do not have a relationship with Jesus and a passion in the lives of believers.
We have a full slate of Welcome Week activities and outreach efforts planned to help us and our churches make connections with students, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and see students grow as fruitful disciplemakers. Please take a few moments to let Baptist Campus Ministries know how your congregation would like to connect and partner to reach collegians in Mobile County this fall. We exist to help our Mobile Baptist Association churches reach collegians in their spheres of influence. We welcome each of our churches to partner with us in connecting with college students this fall.
This short survey and information form will help us serve you better, communicate with you more clearly, and connect you directly to the college campus. Please help us by completing this form: https://forms.gle/PihfkBuiSwnQsS4ZA
In the form you will discover some ways you all can connect to new college students in partnership with BCM.
Here the most impactful things to focus on today:
- Your congregation and leaders can send digital images, promotions, links, and videos for your fall collegiate events and weekly meetings. Email them to JBrown@alsbom.org or Egardner@alsbom.org. This will allow us to promote your collegiate ministry to students on our campuses.
- This year we are hosting our Church Fair in conjunction with an outreach project on campus at USA. We will be hosting The Bryan Drake Show in the USA Student Center Ballroom on Tuesday, August 23 at 7:00 p.m. Our local Baptist churches are invited to send representatives to host a table with information about your church and collegiate ministry. For this particular event on the USA Campus, please send up to 3 USA students (or other college students if you don’t have USA Students connected) and one adult staff member/volunteer. Tables will be provided. Please bring a tablecloth, display materials and printed information. We suggest you plan to collect names for a giveaway of some sort (water bottle, gift card, hammock, etc.) Please bring all you will need to collect names. Set up will be at 6:30 p.m. and students will visit before the show begins and after the show. Refreshments will be provided. Please let us know in the form above if you all will participate. If you need help developing promotional material, please let us know. We would be glad to consult with you!
- Would your collegiate ministry like assistance in training students for personal evangelistic ministry, disciplemaking and missions mobilization through training events, seminars, consultations, and conversation groups? Let our Campus Ministers know if you would like to work together to train and mobilize collegians.
- To help us better connect collegians to your congregation would you click on the form above and share with us a little overview of how your Church plans to minister to collegians along with a basic college ministry weekly schedule?
Attached is our full Week of Welcome schedule. If you see any other events that you’d like to partner/assist with, please let us know. We look forward to working together to reach collegians in the future!

Government Street Christian School is seeking to fill a K5 position, 1st grade, and middle school math and science teacher. They prefer applicants to have earned a B.A. or B.S., or at the very least an Associate’s degree. However, for K5 and 1st, we will consider someone who has a documented experience working with young children. Above all, the applicant must be a Christian and living a confirmed Christian lifestyle.
