Week of Prayer for International Ministries in Mobile
March 13-19, 2022
In Romans 12:12 we are admonished to “pray without ceasing (HCSB).” it states it this way, “Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.” Because of the importance of prayer for our International Ministries, we have set aside a week to focus on and to emphasize prayer for the needs and opportunities among internationals in the greater Mobile area as well as thousands of seafarers frequenting the Port of Mobile, the 12th largest in the USA.
Please set aside time the week of March 13-19 and join us in praying daily for items listed below.
Thank you for faithfully praying with us. Our desire is that many will utilize the prayer cards (or brochure) for focused prayer throughout the year.
Like us on facebook.com/International-Ministries-MBA to see the daily prayer needs. You may also find them at im.mobilebaptists.org.

Upcoming 2022 Events You Don't Want to Miss:
Please join us in prayer and preparation for the 10th Annual Benefit Golf Tournament, Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the TimberCreek Golf Club in Daphne. Perhaps the LORD will lead you, your company, and/or your church to become sponsors this year.
|
The annual Walk For Bibles and International Ministries (WFBIM), which supplements the IM income, is planned for Saturday, October 15, 2022. The 5K walk will be at the Medal of Honor Park in West Mobile. It will begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude noon.
|
The International Christmas Celebration (ICC) for 2021 was a real blessing. We look forward to having the 2022 ICC on Saturday, December 3. Moffett Road Baptist Church has again extended an invitation to host the event. Begin even now to pray about your involvement in this important outreach into the International community in Mobile County.
|
Although we missed our goal of Christmas gifts for 80 ships in 2021 by just one ship, the goal for this year will be at least 80 ships. At $275 per ship, plan now to become a ship’s sponsor for 2022. With inflation, we expect the costs to increase, but we request you join us in praying for this special opportunity for 2022.

This Camp Relief Fund is essential for the camp to survive. If your church has not yet participated in the Covid related Relief Fund, please do so now. Covid related cancellations continue to impact income and there are $10,000 more in expenses than income for February.

Wright Word March-May 2022
Thomas Wright, Associational Missionary Emphasizing Biblical Prayer, Evangelistic Ministries, Church Development, Church Planting, Partnership Missions
|
New Challenges, New Opportunities in 2022 Many of us sense that time is passing more quickly. It was authenticated when the 2011 Nobel Prize in physics was awarded to three scientists for discovering the expansion of the universe is accelerating.
|
Time and space are accelerating toward the second coming of Jesus as described throughout biblical truth. 2022 brings additional challenges and opportunities to know Christ and make him known.
|
The Pandemic has impacted attendance and activity. Some research indicates about 1/3 of church members have become more engaged in church. This is why our finances did not collapse. Another 1/3 are just hanging on and 1/3 have become unengaged in church. The commitment to corporate worship and discipleship needs to be renewed (Heb. 10:25). Salvation in and through Jesus confirms there is nothing more important in the investment of our time, talent and funds. The challenge is to invest in eternity through a renewed focus on activity that impacts eternity. Eternity is coming for all of us more quickly than we think.
|
EMERGENCY Camp Whispering Pines (CWP) Relief Fund to Offset Crippling Pandemic Losses Thank you to the churches and individuals that helped raise $60,704 thus far to keep CWP open. Please pass the word to individuals who have been blessed by CWP and want to see the ministry continue. There were 32 decisions in just one week during last summer.
|
Please help encourage the other 90 MBA churches who have not yet responded. The goal of $120,000 is needed to provide for ministry expenses. We currently anticipate enough funding to remain open until the end of March.

Please review the year to date receipts report. Our ministries thrive through the sacrificial support of so many churches. Many church members are surprised to learn their church provides no, or minimal support, to the Cooperative Program nor the MBA.
