Metro Mobile Baptist Campus Ministries International Student Christmas Dinner December 2, 2022
MBA Churches and Collegiate Ministries Supporters:
College campuses present a unique opportunity to the Church because they welcome the world to our local communities. Christians are able to make friends with people from all over the world without leaving home or applying for a passport! We have a great opportunity for your congregation to partner with us in making friends with the nations coming up on December 2nd. Metro Mobile Baptist Campus Ministries is sponsoring our Annual International Student Christmas Dinner to introduce our students from around the world to Christmas through food, music, decorations, cultural presentations, Christmas light displays, and table discussions.
We need friends from our local churches to help us provide food and decorations for this event. We need both American and International dishes and we welcome you to help us serve the food that evening. What a great opportunity to connect with friends from all over the world.

International Ministries News and Events

Thank you
to the many churches and individuals who have given so generously, including the 200 walkers this year. God continues to bless International Ministries. The annual fundraiser, Walk for Bibles and International Ministries, was held in October. A total of $19,199.32 has been raised thus far for the purchase of Bibles and other materials. These funds, as well as donations received throughout the year, provide many with the Word of God.

Emphasizing Biblical Prayer, Evangelistic Ministries, Church Development, Church Planting, Partnership Missions
Don’t Give Up Galatians 6:9 records, “Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in” (AMP).
The portents of autumn include cooler weather and deciduous trees losing their leaves. The great piles of leaves that are the joy of pets and children but the bane of yard keepers.
What happens biologically that causes healthy green leaves to change color and drop off the tree? Cooler temperatures and shorter hours of daylight signal to the tree to stop producing chlorophyll, the green color in the leaves. The reduced chlorophyll causes a cork cambium layer to begin lining the leave stem. Like cholesterol in an artery, the cork cambium gets thicker and thicker. The reduction in green allows the reds, yellows and oranges to appear. The color change is pretty for a brief time, but the cork cambium is deadly to the leaf.
Beware the enemy who installs a spiritual cork cambium to separate believers from churches and churches from partnership missions. As we are drawn away from the light of Christ we begin to experience the sin that separates us from other people and from God.
We need to remain active in prayer and Bible Study. We need faithful church participation, evangelistic ministry, church development, church planting and partnership missions.
The evergreen tree does not shed leaves. It is like the tree described in Ps. 1:3: “He is like a tree planted beside streams of water that bears its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers” (HCSB). Remaining close to Christ through personal and corporate worship allows us to be a spiritual evergreen.
What can we do in our churches to help believers from growing weary in cooperative missions, worship and helping unbelievers turn to Christ?
Please review the year to date receipts report. Our ministries thrive through the sacrificial support of so many churches. Many church members are surprised to learn their church provides no, or minimal support, to the Cooperative Program nor the MBA.
