10.17.2022 Update: Our local mass feeding team has returned from a grueling week of setting up and running the Mass Feeding trailer to serve thousands of meals to the community. Huge thanks and blessing to all of them for their service! |
One chainsaw volunteer served with a Baldwin Association team and has returned safely. Thanks to him! Three more Mass Feeding volunteers have served this past week and returned last Saturday.
Next Tuesday (10.18) and Wednesday (10.19) a total of eleven volunteers from Mobile will be leaving to serve in Arcadia. Nine will serve on Chainsaw and two on Mass Feeding. Please pray for them and their safety traveling and serving. One of our volunteers came home with an infection so we must pray for their health and safety!!! |
Now to the future! The ministry there is not nearly over. There are hundreds of requests for chainsaw/cleanup/recovery in DeSoto County alone. There are approximately 165 volunteers serving at present in Arcadia. They will need relief.
The Mass Feeding trailer has been shut down, but meals for volunteers and a couple of shelters are being served from the kitchen of FBC Arcadia. This is a much less physically intensive task and volunteers are needed drastically. If you are trained in any area and would be willing to help, please let me know. I will copy the dates below. They are willing to take untrained volunteers, but prefer that they be family or friends of trained volunteers. So grab your best friend and introduce them to the ministry of Disaster Relief!!! Great opportunity to spend time together and be the hands and feet of Jesus to the hurting world!!!
Let me know if you are available. This is why we trained! Let’s make a difference!!! |

If you know someone with trees down or had flooding in their home, have them call us. We are serving DeSoto County. If we are able, we will help. No charge.Call 334.613.2389. If no one answers leave a voicemail. |
As a reminder, Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief does not collect or distribute donated items. Anyone who wishes to help financially may do so at https://sbdr.org/hurricane-relief/.
Additionally, donations made to Mobile Baptist Disaster Relief (Donate button is below) help keep our Chainsaw Trailer supplied and ready for deployment. The MBA DR ministry pays for insurance for each local volunteer that is deployed as well as some travel and lodging expenses. Several local volunteers are already serving in Arcadia and several more are deploying soon.
The MBA is also accepting gift cards to Walmart, Lowe's and Amazon. Bring them to the MBA office and they will go to the front lines with the next team.
Thank you for your constant support of this great ministry that brings hope and help in Jesus’ name.

2022 Walk for Bibles and International Ministries Report
The 2022 Walk for Bibles and International Ministries was held last Saturday. Once again, the very generous Mobile Baptists showed up and showed out for God and their support of International Ministries here in Mobile County.
The totals so far are approximately 195 walkers and $15,295+ raised. It is not too late to turn in your Walk for Bibles and International Ministries money. Turn it in by the end of the year for credit this year. However, this fund receives donations all throughout the year and giving is made easy at https://mobilebaptists.org/walk-for-bibles-and-international-ministries/ .
