Preparation Resources & Volunteer Registration for Making a Difference Mobile Events

Please let your friends across the state know Volunteer Registration is open for Making a Difference Mobile. Please visit alsbom.org/makingadifference to register volunteers, choose from the event list and choose from the housing options listed. Each volunteer needs a current background check to participate. Local church help will also be needed to provide volunteers.
Visit alsbom.org/makingadifference for resources to help your church including a prayer guide, community survey, demographic information and Bible study outlines from Dr. Rick Lance.

After your event, please visit that page for the Event Report Form and Reimbursement Form for your grant.

Collegiate Night of Worship March 15, 2024

Church Collegiate Workers:

We are less than one week out from the Collegiate Night of Worship.

Baptist Campus Ministries is hosting this night on March 15th at 7:00 p.m. in our ministry building at 5904 Old Shell Road.

This night will be focused on Christian collegians worshiping and praying together and being sent to their campuses with the gospel. Church collegiate ministries will adopt a campus circle of influence to pray for and pursue with the Gospel as a part of our response time.

Worship will be led by Franklin Pratt (Spring Hill Baptist), Anna DeBruin (Redemption Church) and Team. Campus Minister Jerrod Brown will be sharing a message entitled “A Proclaiming People.”

SUPPORT COLLEGIATE MISSIONS
Join with us to support BCM collegiate missions with a BBQ Dinner and a Baked Goods Auction that will feature some of the best bakers Mobile Baptist Churches have to offer! This year “Dinner on the Grounds” will be held on Friday, April 12th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Baptist Student Center.
PASTORS, MINISTERS, AND MEN’S MINISTRIES LEADERS - WE NEED YOU!
Will you prepare some BBQ for this event? You can grill, smoke, or BBQ any meat of your choice. Smoke a Boston Butt, grill some burgers or chicken or BBQ some ribs. We also need you to invite as many of your church members to come and enjoy this great night of fellowship and missions support. Will you help us support collegiate missions? If you would, please contact Campus Minister Jerrod Brown to reserve a spot (jbrown@alsbom.org).
BAKERS - WE NEED YOU!
Will you prepare one of your famous cakes or other baked goods for this event? We know that every church has those great bakers who make their special desserts that everyone loves. Would you share those delicious creations with us to support collegiate missions? All we ask is that you prepare your famous baked goods, package it on a disposable plate or pan, and invite as many of your church members to come and bid on your dessert as you are able! Will you help us support collegiate missions? If you would, please contact Campus Minister Beth Gardner to reserve a spot (Egardner@alsbom.org).

REMEMBER, THERE ARE FOUR WAYS YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN THIS COLLEGIATE MISSIONS SUPPORT EVENT:
1. Prepare some baked goods to be auctioned off to support collegiate missions or some BBQ and sides for the dinner. Contact Beth Gardner at 251-344-5904 to volunteer to bake some goodies.
2. Purchase tickets, attend the event and bid on baked goods! You can buy tickets at www.bcmmobile.org under the Donations/Tickets tab.
3. Make a Summer Missions donation if you cannot attend in person. You can make a collegiate missions donation at www.bcmmobile.org under the Donations/Tickets tab.
4. Attend virtually and bid on baked goods through the live stream. The live stream will be streaming on the Metro Mobile Baptist Campus Ministries Facebook page.

One Hope Mobile is moving into a new location and needs church chairs for sanctuary seating (50-100). If your church has an option, for donation or purchase, please contact Pastor Timothy Jensen at 251-525-1120. They hope to have their first service in the new location Resurrection Sunday!

Senior Adult Singin' is a great event for senior adults. Those who attend will enjoy a wonderful time of singing the great old hymns of our faith and heritage. At these events, we always have a surprise or two. It's all congregational singing, and no one does it better than senior adults! Pathways Professional Counseling, a sister ministry of Alabama Baptist Children’s Home, is pleased to announce the availability of a new therapist, Vickie Charpie, LPC-S. Vickie has 16 years of experience in the mental health field and looks forward to serving the people of our community. She is the wife of Elbert Charpie, pastor at Fulton Road Baptist Church in Mobile. Vickie has 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. She is very active in her church and is passionate about helping others grow in their walks with God.
