International Christmas Celebration
Saturday, December 1, 2018
International Ministries Center
(605 Texas Place)
Christmas is almost upon us. We look forward to celebrating our Lord’s birth with people from many nations at the International Ministries Center on December 1, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. for the International Christmas Celebration. I would like to invite you and your church family to be a part of the celebration this year.
The evening will begin with fellowship around the table with various International foods. There will be drama and Christmas Carols by the language churches. Special guests [Ram:Corps] from the University of Mobile will perform. [Ram:Corps] is a Christ-centered, 35-member, high impact, visual brass and percussion ensemble. [RAM:CORPS] presents over 150 concerts and ministry events a year both locally and internationally, to encourage music programs, and edify the body of Christ” (umobile.edu/academics/alabama-school-arts/center-for-performing-arts/ramcorps). Gifts will be given to seafarers and children from the international community.
The language churches and language school students wlll provide most of the food. The Mobile Baptist WMU will coordinate the dinner and serve those attending. If you would like to make a donation to help support this celebration, please make checks payable to International Ministries and designate your donation for the International Christmas Celebration. Send checks to the Mobile Baptist Associational office by November 15, 2018.
Again this year, we would like to present each seafarer with a wallet including a $10 Walmart gift card inside. Other items, as seen on the enclosed list, are also being collected.
It is my prayer that through this celebration we will be able to impact those in attendance with the love of Christ. Thank you for all of your support for this great ministry. I am honored with the opportunity to serve as International Ministries Director.
2018 Christmas Gifts for Seafarers
Each year International Ministries collects items for seafarers and other internationals in need. We also plan to give each seafarer a new wallet with a $10 Walmart gift card inside. It is through these gifts that we have the opportunity to express God’s love to those needing these items. Many parts of our world do not recognize Christ as the real reason for Christmas and we want to make sure internationals see this.
Please bring these items to the MBA office by November 21, 2018:
- Men’s Wallets
- $10 Walmart Gift Cards
- Crew Neck White T-Shirts (Med., Large and XL sizes only)
- White Tube Socks (Med. and Large only)
- Shaving Cream
