The International Language School (ILS) opened in 1981 as an MBA ministry. The ILS is available to non-English speaking students. Each student is evaluated and placed according to their level of ability. A trained volunteer teacher helps the students learn English and about the love of Jesus.

ILS Sponsorship Program

Our area churches are welcome to visit any of the 3 locations.

The purpose of the ILS is to use ESL as a way to develop friendships with Internationals and to share the love of Christ. Additionally, the International Ministries seeks to start churches for every nationality living in Mobile County. The ILS is an outreach arm of the International Ministries.

These classes are made possible by scholarships given from the MBA, local churches, companies and individuals. You can sponsor a student for $100/year. Other ongoing needs include refreshments at each of the sites. Items such as crackers, cookies (homemade or store bought), individually wrapped candies, chips, and 2 liter drinks are appreciated.
