International Language School News and Report
We had an excellent year at the MBA International Language School. While we are still gathering final statistics for total enrollment, it looks like we had over 80 people from over 15 countries who have been a part of the Language School this year. Thank you for being a part of this ministry. We have six of our students who began attending church on Sundays and are hearing God's word each week. A special thank you to those who have served as site leaders, teachers, hostesses, childcare workers, and provided refreshments this year. Also a special thank you to Sage Avenue Baptist Church, Airport Boulevard Baptist Church, and Tillman's Corner First Baptist Church for hosting each of our three sites. A special thank you to the Mobile Baptist WMU as well for their faithful financial support of this incredible ministry.Read More

Churches Planting Churches Training
That same weekend at Sage Avenue, the MBA will sponsor a Churches Planting Churches Training. Churches Planting Churches Training is designed to examine the values underlying the rationale for becoming a sending church. Then the six steps necessary to make this a reality will be taught in detail. This training is designed for a church that is seeking to learn how to start a new church or churches from the “sending” church perspective. Many people are fearful of the whole idea of planting a church because they have no idea as to how they would go about it. Information dispels anxiety.

Be Ready in Luke 12:35
The sermon of Jesus in Luke 12 provides many important lessons for ministry. In verse 35, Jesus warns His followers, “Be ready for service and have your lamps lit.” (HCSB) It is easy to see the depth of application from this one short expression of biblical truth. The enemy lulls us into complacency. Lamps burn out. They need fuel and new wicks. If we are not attentive, our lamps will go out. We will sit in the dark. We will not be ready to respond to opportunity or danger. Even committed believers, and leaders, can become satisfied with the status quo. We accept change only when we clearly see the price of stagnation.
